2015 duck opener check in

Well got up at 3:00 at the lake at 4:00 set up and ready at 5:30 and twiddled our thumbs for the next hour and a half lol....
Couple different groups came in multiple shots, and one goose taken... Most were out there on the threshold on distance but a couple I just flat out missed lol....
Bella did really good, we didn't do so hot lol... Couple groups around us scored some. Mostly geese with one mallard dropped....
We were setup on pools on Berlin lake that has been drawn down... They seemed too favor the main lake points today... More security....
At first legal shooting time it sounded like opening day of deer gun lol... Lots of 3 shot volleys....
Had a lot of fun, minus the mile walk in dragging a 100 pounds of gear in a sled... Bought killed my old ass lol...

We had a good laugh while we were eating. I said: "There's two ends to the spectrum. There's get there at 2AM to hold a spot on public land and actually hunt. Then there's show up a 6AM, act like your hunting and eat like kings. I'll take the food..." lmao
There was two groups that were there before us lol... We were in the parking lot at 4:00 and they were already setup when we'd gotten there lol.... I didn't smell any bacon though lol

Way to lay the smack down today fellas!
Me and Betty went out on a solo mission this evening. First set up didn't pan out so I made a move about 200 yds NE to a small secluded pocket and it made a world of difference. Limit of ducks in about an hour.

Geese didn't fly till we packed up at 1130 . Then they decided to show while we were half packed up .
Don't feel like working for ducks tomorrow . Goin to a goose spot . Hopefully it works out . Good luck all .
Ha! Pic is a little deceiving. She's actually a little thicky-thick right now at a whopping 58 pounds. Put some weight on to prep for our Montana/NoDak trip next week.
