2016 start

Went out today for the first time this year came up with two fresh sheds and 2 dead heads! Walked a little over 6 miles for the day!

I put some miles on today as well. Came home empty. That is a nice 8pt dead head you found.

Ya it is! Couple years old tho! Bleached pretty good and starting to crack!

Congrats on the finds. I've been out 4 times. Never more than a couple miles and found 3 so far. One is really nice and over 72 inches.

Spent a few hours in the woods this morning! Buddy found a set of fresh sheds and I came up with an oldie and a dead head!

Main beam is 1/8 shy of 26. Mass is carried all the way through. Smallest measurement was 4 1/2, darn brow tine and G2 sure hurt it though. Could have been over 80 if they were comparable to the rest of the shed.

I wouldn't call that dead head "old". Sucks finding them this way.

That's a mighty fresh looking dead head. Always exciting as hell to see all those points sticking up then equally disheartening.

Ya the picture is a little misleading! Hard to say how long he has been laying there...his head was summered in the creek while the rest of his body was above water! The only part of him that was intact was the head which was under water the rest was bones!
