2017-18' Buckeyes

I see it different and maybe that’s my old school ways. Respect goes a long ways in my book. To throw your mom under the bus in front of the world, knowing it was going to humiliate her...you could’ve at least told her ahead of time so she wouldn’t of shown up. Total disrespectful move. And if he’s going to do that to his own mom, what’s he going to do to a teammate? Fuck that kid, I hope he never makes it to make any money.

Yah maybe he should have told her but other than that I totally disagree with you. He is an adult now and he should be making his own decisions and if he falls on his face then so be it. You can't live your life to please your parents.

At 37 years old I still wouldn’t disrespect my parents.

Maybe that punk needs to learn something sitting on a bench for a couple years. Like respect for others. Maybe Mom knows right, her choices got him this far.

I wouldn't disrespect mine either but I don't consider making a choice they disagree with to be disrespectful. And maybe he did tell her and she still got pissy. Also maybe she is a crappy mom just trying to get more because Alabama promised her a nicer house. Lots of unknowns but being mad that my kid didn't choose the school I wanted is petty in my opinion.

What makes him an adult? His age? I hardly think that works that way now-a-days. My step son is 19. He is FAR from being an adult. Hell Ive seen a bunch of 20 somethings that cant even act like adults. I have to agree with Giles here tho, she got him where he is by sacrificing. He put the knife in her back and twisted it.

I will first say that there are two sides to every story and I do not want to act like I know exactly what all happened.

With that said. If he told his mom or lead her to believe that he was choosing between 2 different schools then knowing she was wearing school garb from those schools and "surprised her" by choosing Florida I see that as disrespect. He knowingly put her in a position to be embarrassed on TV with a lot of people watching.

Yes he is old enough to go to adult jail and make adult decisions. Maturity though has no age. Seen way too many young adults that have the maturity of adolescents. Have also been luck enough to see the opposite though it seems rare.

Just my take.

Yah I suppose if she thought he was going to bama and he changed his mind that would be disrespectful. However like you said we don't know what it is like in that home. Maybe it's a toxic environment and that was his way out. It was his choice and now he has to live with it.

Depends what the goal is. If the goal is to get the most playing time to get seen by the NFL scouts then he should go where the playing time is. And unless you are JT Barrett the only way to get better is by playing in games.
I disagree. Bama doesn't just sit those guys and make them watch, they actively develop them to get to the quality required to play at that level. His best year with the Florida Gators will never prepare him to face an Alabama starting line.

I'm not saying he was right just saying maybe that was his thought process.

So at what point are these punk ass kids able to go on there and no one but him knows his decision? Who the hell is he to keep everyone guessing? Lebron pulled that shit when he went to the heat and what? Now everyone thinks their special enough to do it? I hope his mom smacked the shit outta his punk ass....

TELL IT, J! (mom probably still hoping to hop on the gravy train, so a polite tongue lashing may be more likely.)

What the hell is mamma doing wearing any kind of school attire anyhow? Was she trying to steal his thunder??? Maybe she is a selfish self-centered biach!!! Or maybe Bama just didn't offer the major he is planning to pursue????

Maybe she was supporting her son. Hmmmmm. Supported him for 18. Don't know the whole story so I shouldn't comment.

Probably for the same reason the prick is wearing a crimso jacket.
