I'm utterly amazed just how quickly whomever all those involved were able to put this documentary together and make it available for the public to view by March 25th!

Scene coverages that I've yet to see from any of the main stream news outlets, including actual scenes within China's city of Wuhan, their hospitals, labs, airports, trainstations, etc, etc, etc.

After viewing this documentary, I now have even more questions as to what the hell is actually going on.

Anyhow, if you haven't seen it, I'm letting you know it's out there if interested.

Everyone can make their your own determination however, I felt this was worth pointing out in case you weren't aware or missed it in today's federal press briefing.

As to my expectation. (problem - reaction - solution)

No doubt - I expect more mega monopolies to come to our rescue with these (supposedly) new (more invasive) solutions for the current problem/crisis.

IMO - liberty/freedom/privacy may be at risk for the sake of safety (health) - to calm/minimize anxiety, fear and hysteria?

Of course they suggest in the article that the consumer/customer will be able to opt out, but I don't believe it.

Anyhow, you can make your own determination for yourself. I felt that this was worth pointing out/sharing in case you weren't aware...

Apple and Google Are Teaming Up to Build Coronavirus-Tracking Tech. Hold Your Applause.

"As the global coronavirus pandemic continues to spread and testing remains criminally limited, Apple and Google have announced a partnership to roll out contact-tracing technology to track the spread of covid-19."

________________________________________________

Just a little back drop of just one of the organizations and there's plenty more out there if one chooses to do some research. If so, might also consider researching DARPA Lifelog/Facebook and Google's involvement with China's surveillance programs as well and why some of their employees took a stand.

IDK if you seen this, but on Fox News, Tucker Carlson covered this story last night.

As to him, he appears to have the same opinion as to I.

Tucker Carlson Tonight- Friday, April 10
42:32 - On today’s episode of ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’, Tucker examines the restrictive policies during the coronavirus lockdown; meanwhile, Apple and Google are teaming up to develop a coronavirus tracking app.

I personally hope they do. The best way to prevent a widespread pandemic is to test, contact trace and quarantine. This will not be the last global pandemic we have to deal with and people have already shown that many of them are incapable of quarantining. They're already tracking our phones, locations, purchase habits, travel patterns and everything else, might as well make something useful with it.

While they're at it, add all of those prisoners they let out of jails.

I bet they're will be many that will not comply, therefore if true to opt out, what good would it be. Like myself, my cellphone is not always with me 100% of the time on purpose.

This morning we have some data giving a little more insight into the great unknown of the coronavirus pandemic: just how widely among the population has SARS-CoV-2 — the virus which causes COVID-19 — spread among the general population. A team at the University of Bonn has tested a randomized sample of 1,000 residents of the town of Gangelt in the north-west of the country, one of the epicenters of the outbreak in Germany. The study found that two percent of the population currently had the virus and that 14 percent were carrying antibodies suggesting that they had already been infected — whether or not they experienced any symptoms. Eliminating an overlap between the two groups, the team concluded that 15 percent of the town have been infected with the virus.

This number matters hugely because it tells us what we need to know in order to judge how deadly the virus is and also how easily it spreads. It tells us, ultimately, how useful the methods are that we are employing in order to combat the virus. As explained here before, the question of how many people already have the infection is at the heart of a debate between epidemiologists at the Imperial College and Oxford university.

Two weeks ago, the latter published modeling claiming that up to half the UK population might already have been infected with the virus — a level of infection which would mean that lockdown may be the wrong approach, as we would already have achieved a state of herd immunity, preventing the further spread of the disease.

The Gangelt study does not provide support for the idea that half of the population of Britain, or any other country, has been infected with the virus. But for a town to have an infection rate of 15 percent suggests that the virus had spread a lot further than many believed. Neil Ferguson, who leads the Imperial team, told the FT this week that he believes between three and five percent of the UK population has already been infected.

Data from coronavirus deaths in Gangelt suggests an infection mortality rate of 0.37 percent, significantly below the 0.9 percent which Imperial College has estimated, or the 0.66 percent found in a revised study last week.

The 15 percent figure from Gangelt is interesting because it matches two previous studies. Firstly, there was the accidental experiment of the cruise ship the Diamond Princess, which inadvertently became a floating laboratory when a passenger showing symptoms of COVID-19 boarded on January 20 and remained in the ship, spreading the virus, for five days. The ship was eventually quarantined on February 3 and all its 3,711 passengers tested for the virus. It turned out the 634 of them — 17 percent — had been infected, many of them without symptoms. The mortality rate on the vessel was 1.2 percent — although, inevitably being a cruise ship, it was a relatively elderly cohort.

We gained another insight into SARS-CoV-2 from a Chinese study into 391 cases of COVID-19 in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. In this case, scientists tested everyone who shared a household with people who were found to be suffering from the disease. It turned out 15 percent of this group had gone on to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 themselves. Again, many showed no symptoms.

Obviously these are all small-scale studies and none of them are deliberate experiments to see how far SARS-CoV-2 will spread if it is allowed to ‘rip through’ a population. But they do raise the question: is there a ceiling on the number of people who are prone to be infected with the disease? Do many of us have some kind of natural protection against infection? Would it ever spread among more than about one in six of us?

The British government has based its planning and policy for COVID-19 on the assumption that if the virus was allowed to spread unchecked it would eventually infect 80 percent of the population. That is a figure that seems to have been borrowed from planning for a flu pandemic, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it applies to this virus. The sooner we have the results of more studies like that at Gangelt, the better a picture we have and the sooner we will be able to plot a path out of lockdown.

China implemented the system that is was a red or green square on your phone screen. Get caught out and about with a red square and it wasn't good. I assume the same would be said for not having a phone with you.

In my opinion, those released prisoners should have a locked/tamper-proof ankle bracelet with a GPS system for tracking purposes for the authorities and considered to be under house-arrest.

Agreed. I think they should be called back at a later date to serve the remainder of their sentence, be remanded to house arrest, and any comissionnof a felony while out on results in 3x the sentencing penalty.

My heart goes out the poor Chinese people that live under the boot of communism.

Call it what you will. Being an American doesn't somehow negate the spread of a virus as we have seen. Deadly pathogens don't give two craps about you nationality, political ideology or stop to read our Bill of Rights before infecting the nation. Test, contact trace, and quarantine is by far the best method to quickly stop the spread of a virus before it becomes a bigger problem. If people refuse, like we have seen some do, then something has to be invented to assist with compliance. Freedom doesn't mean we have the right to do what we want and spread a pandemic because we're selfish and think it doesn't apply to us. As I've said all along we are lucky this isn't SARS-1 or MERS or 15-35% of this country would be dead in a year. That or we simply accept the fact that people will die and it is what it is. We can't on one hand demand to be protected and blame government for lack of readiness, then on the other wrap ourselves in the flag and bitch about potential solutions.

Like I've said many times,,,, Problem - reaction - solution....

What a perfect plan for those the want control, just create a pandemic.

Look, I'm sure there will be an ever ending on going debate while this plays out and that's why I'm paying close attention to what's going on, like you.

My primary concern has always been for the health and safety for all Americans right along with our God given legal rights pertaining to the USA constitution & bill of rights.

I totally get what you're saying about contact tracing and protecting the virus from spreading.

Unfortunately you have to break a couple of eggs to make an omelet. If on the other side of this we don't agree with the lingering impact on liberty, then we the people will break a couple eggs of our own.

I suppose we all just have to wait and see unfortunately. What other choice do we have other than hope & pray that this gets resolved quickly with as many lives saved and our current freedoms intact.

Anyways, I'm done with my morning coffee and I wish you guys have a great weekend!

Take care & be safe!
