If you have the paint, why not just do it yourself

Mostly time. I'd rather spend the weekend with the family. I'm not opposed to hiring a person at a realistic price to do a job. The measuring stick I always use to judge it's worth is I ask myself if I would, and could, do the job for that price. If the answer is yes then I do it myself. If not, then I go with the quote.

B the
LOL, yes, just do it yourself and pay yourself $17 an hour, no drinking or smoking (anything) while your on the clock, and do it like it's a real job. you know, work 8-10 hours a day until it's done. then let us know if you think you are earning a fair wage. don't forget to take your local, state and federal taxes out of your earnings when you pay yourself. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I don't care if they go outside and have a dozen smoke breaks. There's plenty to drink in the refrigerator, help yourself. 9 times out of 10 I pay cash because uncle sam has no business in our business, if you claim it that's your decision.

The last time I had this situation was in Ohio. Got two quotes north of 2k. A realtor friend recommended an older lady that always did painting for her on houses. I already had the paint. Had her come over and showed her the job, asked what she was thinking on price. She said $500. Took her two days and I gave her $600. At the end of the day there was paint on the walls the same as if I paid $1,300 more.

Like I said man It's awesome that you have built your business and reputation to a point that you can charge a premium. And I'm sure you do it at a service level that your target customer base is willing to pay for. That's awesome. I don't need that, I need a guy to operate a paint roller.

Back on the covid stuff a guy my wife works with went to his Rheumatologist and they told him if he doesn't get the covid shot by the end of the year he will no longer be welcome there.
He said fuck that guy.Lol
Already found a new doctor.

That's messed up. His business I guess and at least he gave himnokenty of time to find a new doctor, but that's just fucked up.

I don't know how partisan this website is. But if this is true it has some interesting implications.

NOTE: GRIM MILE STONE REACHED IN ERIE COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA!!!

We now officially surpassed the 1% of the population of this county as having officially been diagnosed with having COVID-19 over the past year...

Shocking Indeed!

Wonder what it is where you live?!?!

3.7% of our county has been officially diagnosed to date. In defense though nobody here really cares about covid so the numbers are probably way higher.

SO..

Roughly 73% of Americans over age 65 have at lease one vaccine dose. 49% of them are fully vaccinated.

Which is awesome because the over 65 group accounts for over 80% of deaths...

Sooo the question becomes where is this "Impending Doom" going to come from? Surely not the 45-64 age group that only makes up 17% of the total deaths and 36% have at least one dose....

Fear mongering bullshit.

About a month ago I heard a Johns Hopkins doctor say that the actual numbers of people who have had Covid are probably 6-8 times what has been confirmed.
