They are very good to eat, and I have brought them home frozen this time of year, let the thaw and found them to be quite fine to eat still. sauté in butter until golden brown with a little s&p. We found two flushes of them a few weeks ago when I went down to Brocks to squirrel hunt. I have found them several times in December and January while squirrel hunting.
