The targeting call was garbage , but we also played like shit. To conservative at all levels and to many missed opportunities . I was really expecting a different game after a week off from our last misfortune. I sure hope they figure it out before next week otherwise everyone is about to see having the best players in the game will get you only so far if the coaching and calls aren't there

Glad I only saw about 6 minutes before halftime.
Days days are numbered.

I honestly didn't think Day was on a hot seat until seeing that performance against Nebraska. I know there are line injuries, but it's Nebraska. I'm not all that optimistic they can perform well enough to win at PSU this weekend. A 2nd Big 10 loss likely keeps them out of Indianapolis for the Big 10 title game, and potentially out of the playoff? You can't have a $20 mil roster and miss the 1st 12-team playoff.

I've got a feeling they turn it on and beat PSU. Took a loss. Had a Bye week. Squeaked by Nebraska. They are going to be at their best Saturday. The question is if they continue every week throughout the rest of the season.

I hope you are right. That valley is always tough on us.
Agreed. My gut says they pull it together. It's do or die time. They have a knack for making it happen when it counts. Except the end of the Oregon game. They screwed that one up.

Happy Valley is tough. No doubt about it.

I suspect that Chip Kelly has been holding back, calling pretty conservative games on purpose. Still, the O-line was an issue, worse now. They gonna have to open the playbook completely now and let the horses run.
