I think they need a change...but I also don't know who exactly they will get to replace him to take the next step. As much as I want to see a change after that debacle on Saturday, I feel like there has to be a homerun hire lined up before making a move. I, personally, don't see that obvious hire right now.

I agree. Hes a winning coach and if he can get over the hump, maybe that changes things. The play calling was the worst all season and it looked more like a day offense than kelly

If we cant beat Michigan with a $20 million dollar roster?! It is 110% because of play calling and coaching. I also still think it was because no one wants to see the number 1 and 2 team play 3 times in one season. So they threw this game to secure a spot in the playoffs and not play the conference game. No doubt the 2 best teams in college football are the ducks and bucks.

Howard and Fielding neither can handle pressure or elevate their game against the top tier teams. Day being too conservative on offense and Knowles prevent defense is too stressful to watch. Don’t they teach DB’s to turn heads and try to intercept passes anymore? I miss 3 solid, fast LBers that blitz and stunt the gaps on first downs as well as 3rds.

The defense was not responsible for that loss. They held Michigan to 13 points, and their only TD was scored on a "drive" that started inside the 5 yard line after an INT. One of the FG's was made after a short punt from OSU on a drive that was 4 plays/3 yards and resulted in a 54 yard kick that was made. The defense held Michigan to less than 70 yards passing and forced 2 turnovers. The offense and special teams lost this game.

Agree, I didn’t mean to imply the defense was reason for the loss but watching this defense under Knowles watch since his arrival has been tough to stomach. Again, this is a UM team that LOST almost all of their starters on both sides of the ball and OSU returned almost ALL of theirs. Which coaching staff had their team prepared to play and which team made less mistakes? The fans showed up and gave the best support they could but Day once again proved he and his staff can’t win the big games. I’d like to see what the resume of our OL coach looks like cuz they haven’t had a good one I can remember for awhile. This loss will sting for fans for quite awhile but only a few players acted like they knew how crucial this game was. Bottom line, we aren’t winning another game unless OL pathetic run blocking and pass protection improves drastically and stays that way! IMO
Yes, 13 points was sufficient against ANY opponent to win this game. Kicker missing 2 FG’s in the comfort zone of most kickers hurt us bigtime as well.
