So at 5:15 I hear some shuffling in the leaves on the path I walked in on, not a squirrel. Turn and see a bear coming from the left, so I took off the safety and pulled down on the first lane the bear would walk in to. She was moving too fast, so I waited till she walked out in the open...took aim, mi
ddle/middle, said to myself "wait for the
forward step" and let it rip. It ran, into the thick brush, and I heard it running through brush then crash and moan. No blood at the impact site! And I actually saw the bear before I saw any blood. It was curled up in a ball, and it looked like a big dog, but turns out it was respectable, 161# dressed.
