Here in the big city of Columbus, I saw a young buck with his head to the ground chasing 2 doe all over the place last night.

A friend killed a giant on opening day that was chasing a doe. South central part of the state. I recently found an excessive amount of scrapes and rubs in Ross County. Sunday is going to be epic if the weather is as predicted.

Lots of scrapes and a little bumping going on here. Mostly little ones but I've seen a couple good ones acting dumb to. Coopers buck got real aggressive the other night when I grunted at him.

Been a normal progression for us in Washington County over the past 10 days. Little bucks started it, decent bucks followed, but still waiting on the mature bucks. I did get a pic 5 minutes ago of a solid buck moving late morning by a scrape. That's a good sign!

Mason watched a big 8 tending a doe all evening. I’m pretty sure all of my usual cam visiting bucks are hanging around the first hot doe of the year where I’ve been hunting. I haven’t had a picture or seen any of them for two days. I need to find out where the serious romance is taking place.
Wife and son killed a small buck on 33 yesterday. They’re definitely looking for love…

Target buck was locked down with a doe in neighbors cattle pasture yesterday afternoon in Musk. Co.
Athens- slow go this past few days- some little little guys checking and stopping and checking the yellow gold piles

Had a 6 pt chase a doe for nearly 15 minutes yesterday morning in Carroll County. A few scrapes are starting to show up here and there.
Sat in the driveway last night later than I should've. Had a scrub buck on cam darting around. He destroyed the woods for a couple of hours. Big long grunts. It was fun to listen to him while BSing with friends. He didn't have a care in the world we were talking and laughing 40 yards away. Highland county

Seen a couple decent bucks crossing the road on the way to work this week in spots they never do if that helps .. Stark county
This cam hadn't seen a buck in 2 weeks. Yesterday, the big 6 that I call Lincoln daylighted for the first time in over a month. Then this morning, a great up-and-comer strolled through. This trail leads from/into our sanctuary. Seeing them on the move tells me it's time to get my butt in the woods, so I'm headed here at some point in the next few days. We have an ENE wind predicted for Saturday, which is perfect for this spot, so the timing is working out well.
