Hunted 2 different properties in highland county today. Chasing at both.
Saw some intense chasing tonight. She wasn't receptive. He came back thru tongue hanging out. Not a year and half buck. Was a pretty good one.
Lots of chasing today, unfortunately the bucks were all 1.5 year old dinks….

Roads kills are definitely up. In my travels from Athens to Columbus. Not much time to hunt this fall with 2 boys in football. But getting out a few evenings hopefully. Good luck

Family members have been saying they're seeing alot of bucks cruising on the sides of the roads this week in stark if that helps anyone

Now to the woods. Saw some action last night on public, had a guy walk through at 5:05

Lockdown in SE areas should be tailing off and getting bucks back off their asses and does backs to on their feet cruising and scrape checking any day now. Gonna be a great week to be DW of funnels and doe bedding areas. Good luck TOOville
Erie county, bucks have been moving from just after 12am and continue to do so now. 5 different on 2 separate cams. Lunar calendar says better, and best days upon us thru Sat/Sunday....good luck all!

Our Suburban bucks in Hamilton county are busy, lots of activity late afternoons ~ 4:00. The doe groups that travel together do no sit still for long.
Drove from Athens to Columbus this morning. Working a 48. Deer moving ahead of this weather, saw multiple nice bucks cruising and cams have been busy.

Welcome fellow south westerner. What area you hail from? I’m up in Warren in Morrow area. We got hit with EHD last few years.
Good luck this year. The bucks are mostly back to seek and chase phase after the first breeding cycle. Imo

My neck of the woods in Carroll County has been devoid of any signs of the rut. Does are just going about their daily routines. Bucks could care less, they are acting as if they have a bad case of ED. Most activity on my cam has been at night. Did have one decent shooter come through in daylight on the 11th. Figures I hunted the 12th and 13th and nothing showed, just my luck. I'm in Ric's camp, I think next week should be a good week to be in the woods.

Buddy who hunts the Augusta area is seeing some decent chasing. Bucks are checking scrapes during daylight as well.

I flew this morning in southern Highland County. I was searching for a “decent” buck. Found two that were well above average and bunch of “good” deer. The bucks I saw were in groups of two to four, mostly bedded around single does that looked to nervous to stand up.
