Dump triple the salt today, wind is dieing, no snow forecasted overnight tonight, put that thing away until Tuesday......

I wish it was that easy for me. Playing catch up from yesterday/last night. Still need to do invoicing. Tweak some equipment here and there. Sleep. 4hrs in two nights isn't quite getting it right now. I'm not setting an alarm for tomorrow.

I was messing around, I know how busy you'd be after that squall...

We got 6 of us hunting all week use to be about 15 of us we will sit and push a few places like usual. Deer were everywhere tonight even in the wind and a few bucks showing back up after not being around for awhile should be a good week.

I’m off till Saturday with a tag to fill and hopefully get the daughter out some. I’m not going crazy tho since I already have 2 packed in the freezer.

I had no intention of hunting the AM but with our new principal not wanting teachers scheduling appointments during in-service days, I had to wait and schedule a X-ray tomorrow. He really showed me by forcing me to take the gun opener off and make the district pay for a sub. I plan on hunting each p.m of the week and basically all day with short breaks Saturday and Sunday. I have all week off. Taking my oldest for couple hours in the morning before basketball and physical therapy and more basketball rest of the day which sucks. Hoping to do some drives with my cousins through the week , excited for that because sure as hell ain't any deer around me lol.

Good luck in the morning guys. As for me it's the twilight zone. Having lived there and participated for 15 years my internal clock was set by the seasons. First frost in late October, the fall leaves turning, corn and beans coming down with chilly mornings and warm evenings, the excitement for halloween because the rut was here, youth season weekend was the two minute warning, then gun season. Setting rhe muzzy in the garage the night before so it's acclimated for loading in the morning, the days spent at deer camps, wood stoves, cold beer and even colder pisses outside off the porch. Deer drive planning and execution, stories and fellowship.

I spent the last three days buffing and polishing the new boat, it was 65 degreese here and the trees still hold green leaves. To look around here it's like that 15 years was spent in a different world, but it wasn't, It is today, just a different today. A parallel dimension of life.
