2025 Gun Season

I’ll be out in the am. Hunting public with a buddy. This’ll be my first OH gun hunt of the season, and likely the only unless I get a hair up my ass and take the muzzy out in Jan. Expectations are low, but fingers are crossed anyway.
Haven't slept much the last few days. Slept very little last night and was out salting this morning. Going to sleep without setting an alarm tonight. Family Christmas tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I'll get out Sunday evening. Good luck to anyone heading out.

We also have a Christmas at 2 that's going to have some awesome food so another check in the no category for trying. I will walk tonights food off regardless if I have a gun in my hand or not.
Not really excited about the weekend. I do enjoy muzzy days after x mass.

I’ve recruited two men along with myself to get after em old school tomorrow. The three of us have filled our buck tags, Mason has not, so we are going into an old familiar haunt with ill-intent tomorrow. I look forward to it about as much as anything. After months of bow hunting, trying to predict, guess or pray a deer into 20 yards, it is so very liberating to grab a gun and get after them.

Me and some buddies and their kids are gonna do some drives on public tomorrow. Expectations are low with our EHD but seems like our best chance at spilling some blood

Daughter has elected to sleep in tomorrow morning. I bumped her target buck and a smaller 6pt 30yds from our blind while checking the cams at lunch today so that sucked. I'll be out watching over bedding in the morning and we'll be out in the evening hoping hers comes back in. There's a goofy 3 or 4 yr old 6pt that may also be in trouble if he slips up and daylights this weekend. Good luck folks.
