Haven’t been going out much but that’s okay. I have been taking advantage of when I can go out. I had to moved a stand a few weeks ago due to the tree it was in was dying and I didn’t want to risk it. After moving the stand I didn’t go out for a week. I decided to do an evening sit on 11/12. Arrived and got into the stand safely. Was only in the stand for a short period of time and a small one antlered buck came through. A short 30 minuets after that a nice doe and button buck came through. I decided to take the doe. 12 yard quartering away shot and she ran 60yds and was done.

So I had vacation planned for the 14th and 15th for hunting. So I bought another tag and washed everything up. Went out Monday morning to a different spot and sat until 9 swing absolutely nothing. So I decided to move back to the farm I killed my doe on. (10 min away). Got there and sat in the truck for a few eating some snacks. I’m always hungry lol. So I get out and get ready to head down to the stand. Part way to the stand I have a shooter 8 come down the hill and stop in front of me. No shot available and he didn’t know I was there so he just went about his way. So I climb up into the stand and get ready. I sit for a little while and didn’t see anything. Well after about an hour I look up and see this stud coming through. I stand up and get ready. He comes into 35 yards and stops. I’m trying to focus and not rush and after I get through all my mental notes I let it fly. I see the arrow hit and it was a little further back then I wanted but I could see the blood spewing out of him like a faucet. He took off and fell down 3 times on the run. I didn’t see or hear him crash so I waited an hour before looking. After an hour I go back and pick up the trail. I followed it for a little bit until I see him laying dead with my arrow sticking out of him. He died 20 yards from were my doe died. Needless to say I’m thankful I moved my stand and that’s got busy really fast within 3 days lol.

Thanks fellas. As excited as I am to have shot that buck I haven’t been able to let it sink in. Some how I have been super sick since shooting him so I have been laid up resting 😂
