A steady clock eating drive down the field ending in a touchdown to end the first half would be perfect right now. Then get in the locker room and lock in a solid second half of smart ball. Steadily walk away from them in the second half. This is my ideal Buckeye win today.
If OSU can go down and score on their first possession and not go into prevent defense at any point till end of regulation then I like our chances.
The OL has played their best game so far but must keep playing hard so we can continue to run to open up the playbook and keep their defense off kilter.
Second half adjustments tell a lot about the HC and his staff.
The 3rd and 5 yards to go play just before the 4th down TD pass to Smith was terribly conservative. Also, if we try another QB sneak/push play I hope they switch to using bigger backup(#3).
Overall pretty good performance by Day and the Buckeyes. O…
