Hats off to UM they wanted it more and were more physical on both sides of the ball.

The CFP ranked #2, with an 1 loss season, beat by Miami. A #10 ranked team with two losses and didn't even play in their conference championship game much less win it.

Has nothing to do with best & most deserving anymore. If that was the case Miami wouldn't have been there. 2 season losses and didnt even make their con championship game.Nope, best most deserving team will win in the end.
I would say to look at how Miami finished the season. They ended hot and have continued. There was a clearly an argument to be made which said they should have made the playoffs. They just proved why that argument was made. I'm curious how they are going to do against GA (assuming GA advances.)

Im good with it. We all knew Ryan Day couldnt call plays. We knew our kicker was garbage, has almost always been like that. It was awesome to see them let these guys play ball. Cant blame anything on the refs. We beat Michigan! Good to see the 12 team playoff system giving the underdog a chance.

You’d think with an annual salary of $12.5 million you’d get more outta a coach in the playoffs.

In that game the U played 4 quarters, The O played 1/3 of a game. Out coached and out physicalized. Sad to see really. The O played like the team that works in the Factory of Sadness next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or the Chili Dippers down on the Ohio River. I saw too many red jersey's quit on the plays. Almost as if Indiana stole their heart. Sad really cuz we all (almost all) were looking forward to this game and the O and I rematch!
I also have to admit that I liked seeing Miami dominate. Reminded me of the good years of the late 90s/early 2000s. Just sucked that it was against us! Lol
IMO, Games are mostly decided on how good a teams OL is and how well they play. OSU has struggled mightily all year with this unit for whatever reason. Is it lack of talent and skill or is it more of a mentality or heart/pride kinda thing? It might be as simple as coaching and preparation and getting the big uglies trained up to their highest potential. Whatever it is, if backs don’t have holes to run through and QB doesn’t have time to scan the field and receivers to run their routes you’re going to have losses against quality teams that HAVE better offensive lines. In fact, a quality OL will expose the opposing defenses secondary and weaknesses but unfortunately ours didn’t show up once again last night.
My advise for our kicker is, look for another profession. One that doesn’t require nerves of steel and short memory. Stay away from brain surgery, bomb tech or kicking a ball through goal posts with 10’s of thousands in the stands cheering loudly with so much on the line. You’ve tried it and it’s not your thing so time to move on. I feel for him and am appalled at all the hate and death threats toward him though, “It’s a friggin game people!”
Congratulations to UM on the win. It’s easy to see where the team gets their swag and mentality cuz it bleeds from their HC and the ex NFL stars littered throughout the coaching staff. They are going to be hard to beat cuz they are peaking at the right time.

Watch any football game and when you see the linemen 8 to 10 yards down the field pushing the pile? That team wins 9 weeks out of 10. If your O line stand around like Walmart Employees? Not gonna like the outcome. Another tell is grass stains on uniforms. The teams with the most grass stained Hiney's are making early vacation plans...
