I recently purchased a Marlin 336C (20" brl). I intend to use the Hornady 200 Gr FTX LEVERevolution #82735. I have mounted the XS Sight Stems Ghost-Ring Aperature rear sight. The front sight is a Hi-Viz round bead. I do have a nice Redfield (2-7x) that I could put on it, but around here deer and black bear hunting makes for "close encounters"! The Hornady cartridge box says for 3.8" high at 100 yds, which gives you Zero at 200 yds. It is rare to get a 200 yd shot where I hunt. More likely it's going to be 100 yds or less. My question is: Is there a better "zero" for this setup? Ie maybe 75 or 100? These 70+ eyes love peep sights, but probably not at 200 yds anyway. Would love to hear any comments, or suggestions. TIA
