I hope the temps cool down some by then! The humidity is way TOO uncomfortable to sit around a fire right now! Even a 3 in the morning!

My wife told me the other night we are going to indianapolis for her uncles wedding anniversary party on the 27th. I told her "No WE are not, you are, but I am not". Told her about this gathering and she was cool about it. Her birthday always seems to fall the same weekend as the opener. i get screwed out of most of opening day. She knows this, and understands I can only get screwed so many times a year.

Pretty much what I told the wife last night as I was reminding her. She said, I don't remember you saying anything about going....BS lol. I told her the day I put in for vaca day that I was going and have reminded her at least once since then and again last night. Going come hell or high water lol.
I will say, I do feel bad for leaving her for the entire weekend these days. Since her mom passed I know she has nobody to go do anything with while I'm gone now. Pretty much hosed with leaving and doing anything since that happened. Have not stepped foot in the woods since late febuaury or early march and have not been fishing at all either.

You got about 3/4's of that right Ric. I won't have a visor on (although I'll wear my camo Michigan hat just for you), and I believe Mike is still our resident pivot man, so look for him to be the one drinking "COCKtails!" lol
For you guys that have been there. What's the camping situation like? I know it's primitive, but are we gonna have a place to ourselves, or others camped nearby? I'll be putting my stuff together this weekend, so I've been trying to go over everything I need to bring. I was considering bringing my cornhole boards, but wasn't sure if that was going to be an issue with bothering other campers.
Also, I figured could get a list going of everyone that is planning on attending, and what they are bringing in the way of food.

Cotty - hot Italian deer chili, bowls, and plastic ware. Pop up canopy tent. I can pitch in other things if needed. I'll need a way to heat up the chili if someone has a propane stove. I do not have one. I also have a deep fryer if needed.

Food: Chicken thighs with hot sauce,deer backstrap slices and/or deer breakfast sausage.

I will be bringing the above food, my recliner lol, tent, and EZ up (I think it will hold up), cornhole boards, beer, Snack foods, and water to hydrate. I'll also have my bow.
