We had some late nights and early mornings. After the NTPA pull Friday, the goods were at the camper I was slumming at. Got a buddy that is a dairy farmer, so it was between 4 of us standing along side his truck with beer in hand and waving good morning, or this, lmao!

1000% none pulling fan comment. Complete ignorance of the genuine NTPA track ft. markers setup, a good grippy track surface and a 300' flagger at the end of the track that had beautiful flag cadence with the hook line starter for red/green flag use at 4:15am. A true Karen he is, he prolly got up for his 3rd pee of the nite at that time.

People say there's nothing to do around here, but that doesn't hold true when you've got animals. We had a neighborhood goat weighing, trimming, and washing party tonight at our friends (also happens to be our babysitter). Her SIL is my wife's BFF, so it's a tight circle. Lots of walking, setting up, and pretend judging, too.

I had an entry in the "senior class"

Everybody laughed when I told them I was OG goat wrangler from way back and they didn't believe me...

Fun times in a small town tonight!

Spent 7 hours in the barn and had an epic day, but that story has to wait. It's time for the after party! Dizzy pops, football, and we can see/hear the tractor pulls from here. Cool breeze and the summer bugs putting on a symphony. This is the good life!

Everything "came to a head" today for the last of the chickens. Down to 2 weeks until the goat sale. Kaydence is ready to abandon her 5:45A barn trips!

There were tears, a bloody nose, some stress and flying feathers but what makes it all worthwhile (and a Facebook quote of the day)

I love that kid and his sweet heart, it's gonna be rough on him when they go over the sale block this week.

Round 2 for us, last if three fairs for our county. Kennie G wanted to do pee wee goat showmanship tonight and she did great. Kaydence has two Nubian whethers (castrated males) in the dairy goat show this year, her first attempt at it. We have one goat thats pretty solid and in the pic. It's wild that they weigh the same because it's like me standing next to @huntn2. We're both adults males, but we are built completely different! But somehow, they're both 83#s.

This is my hometown fair and we love coming here, so this is really the highlight of our 4H activities, even if Kaydence says she's not doing goats again! Kenna will be of age next year and the beef cattle shows here are top notch. My sister won several awards here back in the day and Kenna wants to follow in her footsteps. Will put a lid on the bow opener if so, but I love seeing her enjoy the animals and the process. Tonight was what it's all about!

We got moved in and all was pretty good.

Sunday was poultry.

Nolan was really stressed

In Jr showmanship they are announcing and Nolan gets Second! Then they announce first and its big sister Laney!

Nolan wasn't impressed lol

The Budweiser Clysedales were there

Onto Monday for rabbits
Nolan did okay in showmanship and his rabbits were probably 3rd overall, just narrowly being beaten by the Reserve Grand pen. Laney's rabbits weren't as good but she rocked showmanship again (i think this is 3 years running! ).

Friday was the sale and there were some tears. But then smiles as the individuals that purchased Nolan's rabbits wanted to take them home.

It was a good year.
