Definitely pricey for a back pack. The two different packs that a couple of buddies have, seem very high quality. I was in need of a new one and I was sold after checking them out. I'm due for a new pack for hauling climbing sticks along with the usual gear. It also appears they have an unconditional lifetime warranty. I like that.
If you've never owned a quality pack, you don't know what you are missing. Buy once, cry once kind of purchase. If you are happy with what you have, keep your money.
That is what I used to tell people that came in looking for packs. It isn't something everyone needs.
I have two badlands packs...one is large and I use it if I go to Canada or someplace where I need to carry lots of gear. This Horn Hunter pack is my go to for archery hunts....not too big yet enough room for essential gear.
I've had mine for at least three seasons now. It's the Badlands Superday Backpack Realtree APX.
I love the damn thing for my all day hunts. I've had other good backpacks in the past, but nothing like this one. It's durable, super quite to use while afield and fairly rain proof as well. I like both the pistol holder and the Hydration system, plus there are several pockets and departments within the pack itself. I also bought mine when they had a 50% off sale on it back in 2018. I have no regrets in buying it and I would buy another if I were to hunt out west for more than a few days at a time, a much bigger one.

OK, fair enough. Looks and sounds like a quality pack. Maybe Santy Claus will bring one. I really don't need one right now, but was curious why this (and some other) packs costs so damn much.
Received another email this morning from Midwayusa that their having another 50% off sale on the 'BadLands' backpacks again in case anyone might be interested.
I've used mine on several hunts already. It's a little bulky for some of the stands where I don't need to carry sticks to, but overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of it.
