7 day totals for gun season

Harvest totals for this year were lower than average in Athens, Meigs, Morgan, and Washington counties as a result of an unprecedented outbreak of Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in that region over the summer. Coinciding with the start of the seven-day gun season, the bag limit in those counties was reduced in response to the disease outbreak.

They got tired of me calling them out on FB and finally added the disclaimer 😂

My point is that I was wondering if we could compare date to date? @bowhunter1023 what format did you use?
The reports are pulled at the same intervals each year, but they aren't aligned by season. The dates are lining up in 24 and 25, but are off two days in 23, so there's definitely some slack in the data.

Highland on 12.05.23 was at 2,316. On 12.03.23 it was 2,033, and as of 12.03.25 it was 2005. You'd have to confirm with the season dates to know how gun season factored in respectively.

How much you think will be added to the #’s this late in the season? You’d be lucky to see a couple hundred at best.

If we kill another 100 deer in Washington, I'll be shocked. We will kill 2,000 less deer than typical 🤢

That’s what I was alluding too. The highlight of the season is past its prime. The #’s regardless of where aren’t going to gain any significance…..

Yeah, it was only a small pocket in this country that got drilled. The rest of the country seems to have more deer than normal. Or maybe more people did what I did, still hunted the same county but in a different area.

So hard to tell because hunters just adapt and move. I know I am seeing Amish in places I hadn't before.

I somehow dont see this years county by county results. Is it in the original article? It mentions the top 10 counties but beyond that I dont see a damn thing.
