I love finding a buck from one year to the next and this guy is no different. I was hoping he'd grow some better brows, but it's a solid jump from 2.5 to 3.5 IMO. This is Captain Jack last year...

And Captain Jack in 2011...

And this is a little buck that has my full attention! Not many 1.5 year old bucks grow 8-point racks around our parts, so he's a special deer in the making IMO. I'd love to see him hang around...

There's no doubt that's Captain Jack, that's for sure. Although he's no Moe, he's a solid P&Y buck with a great typical frame. And dude, put that 1.5 yr old in a cave for a couple years!!! That boy has some serious potential!

I was thinking the same thing. WIDE

The little feller will be a hog 3 years from now. He may even shine brighter and better then a few others down that way. Keep an eye on him and keep us updated.
