A little help???

sounds like a fox to me, could also be an eastern screech owl. I have both here at my place and hear these sounds all the time.

We have lots of screech owls...I don't think that's it. It could be a fox, I have listened to a lot of fox sounds on youtube, still doesn't quite fit. Sounds more distressed but the bobcat isn't paying attention to it.

A trapping buddy thinks it's a kit- baby bobcat. That crossed my mind but I truly have no clue. For all I know it's Bigfoot or a Wookalar.

I second the kitty bobcat, even though it doesn't match the video of such perfectly...I like the Bigfoot possibility too...

Wow, I have not a clue. If I was a guessing id say by the reaction of the bobcat its her young. It doesn't sound like a fox and with the reaction of the Cat its possibly her young.

I think you are right with this statement. There is a second video that has only the sound in it. I think momma cat came back by the cam and triggered it as she went by. The sound was right beside the cam and fading each vocalization like it was trotting away.

I really enjoy your trail cam pic's and especially videos. Thanks for sharing. Ric doesn't know the difference between a queff and arm pit fart, just ask Ron.

LMAO Aaron!!!!

I have a grey fox pup in distress tape that sounds nearly identical to that.

What would I be doing ya sicko?lmao

Sooooooooo sorry this cool and great thread got derailed by a couple waterheads Mike....lmao

No problem! I believe it's another bobcat, probably a young one. I don't believe it is a fox because: 1) I get very few fox pics 2) why would a fox be right there with a bobcat?

Maybe you have a low fox population because the cats are killing them? And this was a momma fox screeching at the cat. That would explain a few things about the cats reactions? And the second video...the chase was on!

Exactly, my thoughts also. I used to call foxes at night years ago and yes its a similar sound but due to the timing of young being born and the cat being there its my guess that its a young cat.
