A Look Back To 25 Years Ago Today

I can't believe that it has been 25 years since I shot my biggest buck, a net 188 2/8 12 Pt Typical. I was 45 at the time, boy has time flown by! This buck of a lifetime got me hooked on deer hunting and I have not regretted it since. Shooting the buck led me to attend the Buckeye Big Buck Banquet and from there going to a few Deer and Turkey Expo's in Columbus. I was amazed at the number of big bucks on display that were taken here in Ohio. We are truly blessed to be able to hunt in a state that has such awesome bucks. Be safe everyone, and congratulations to those that have had success so far this year.

That isn't possible. That was during the start of the deer boom. Experts say we have better deer today. How is it possible that you don't shoot a bigger deer every year? 🤣

Thats a good one for sure. What was gross?

For a deer that almost tapes at 200” the symmetry is very impressive. Both sides have almost the exact same amount of inches which also stands out. If you disregard the abnormal points to have around 6” of side to side diffence is quite remarkable, imo.👏🏻👍🏻

If deer hunting had a commentator. . . Ric would be the man. Never forgets a deer. Knows the details. Has the stories to go with it. Impressive deer antler memory with all the enthusiasm a commentator needs. Yet, his wife said he forgets everything she tells him (as most wives do.) 🤣🤣

Great deer Steve. Thanks for sharing.

Thought of something earlier .. My brother sold State Farm insurance and one day Ron Jeremy came in his office for insurance one day while he was in Paterson filming a porno flick. .
