We got an inch and a half of snow last night I hope that doesn’t mess you up

. Im sure thankful for the heater body suite in this wind. Been awhile since I hunted in the snow. It just slowed but was coming down sideways.

I’m in. Hunting the same small parcel of private that had the rascally button bucks on it a week or two ago. Wind is stuff out of the NW but occasionally blows from the SW which is terrible here, but I made the drive so I’ll give it a whirl. Number of days that I can hunt are quickly dwindling with going back to school next week. I’d be thankful for a 5th deer for the freezer since we ate through 5 from last year before season opened, but if not I’m thankful for the season and opportunities that I’ve had. Good luck to anyone else out.

Train of does with 2 small bucks following. Hung up at 50 when the fuggin wind swirled and they all bailed. Wind is now just as consistently SSW as it is NNW. Contemplating cutting my losses and getting out of here. No sense in spooking more deer than what I already have. This is stupid.

Decided to sit till dark because I’m stubborn. Had another pair of bucks come in, same thing. Wind swirled and they got squirrely and wandered off. Hoping this cold and snow sticks around.

Buck down. For some reason pic won’t load. Quartering away, came out right behind shoulder. Ran 300 yards. Thank the lord for snow. Followed running tracks and zero blood.
