What the hell, not sure what I did to post this here, dumb ass, lol.
I haven't been looking up. But my hickory trees have been dropping all summer.

The Shag and Pignut hickories all around us have been dropping nuts the past 2 months. In the early going I was afraid the squirrels wouldn’t have any nuts to cut on this fall. They start cutting on them real early.
Acorns on the other hand aren’t as plentiful. I have a handful of white oaks and theres nothing falling on the ground during high winds. I haven’t looked up to see how many are up there either though. I’ll get my binoculars out soon for a look.
Catching a shag nut hull on the noggin from a 40 foot drop unexpectedly while sittin in a hot tub hurts like a mfer and is unsettling as heck! Lol

, sounds like when you head to the hot tub with your beverage you need to grab the hard hat as well, stay safe, 
I have a 10’x20’ shed with a metal roof that catches a lot of hickory nuts. Sounds like a shooting match at times around the yard.
Seems skimpy around here the little bit I've checked. I'll be at the farm on Saturday and intend to check some more. We've had great rain, but a late frost/snow might have screwed up down here.
The Corner Pocket white oak looks good. This baby is a magnet for does when its dropping, so this was a welcome sight! Off year for reds though.
