Much needed update:
It turns out, this bow hunting thing is good for the soul!
Been hunting fairly hard. Have had a great season in terms of sightings. Have seen everything I can ask for, but just haven't had the right one in range.
One property is producing sightings like I could only imagine. Then I get a flaim out my ass and hit different spots like my property and have uneventful hunts.
Tonight was the first night I got a bit discouraged. My land is only 8 acres, but I spend time back there. Frustrating not seeing does the limited time I spend out there. Oh well, that sounds pretty damn spoiled of me.
Ive been seeing deer at a huge rate at my favorite spot. The place usually doesn't catch fire in terms of mature bucks until the second half of November. The place is pretty damn magical all the way down to the folks who own it and really welcome me with open arms. That's always a good feeling.
I'm going to spend as much time as I can hunting that spot. It's just to the point to where I question myself: 'be in stand in under 20 minutes and gain an extra hour of hunting' or 'get my ass to that property even if it means only hunting an hour'.
I've really been spoiled this year. Great hunts. Shouldn't be frustrated at all, but it's the nature of the beast
