It was a huntress, my youngest daughter Martina. After work and school we went up behind the house and sat in the hayfield. Saw 2 doe come out behind the house. They were probably only 75 yards from the house but about 200 yards from us. The fed up towards the top of hill. I was hoping that they would close the distance, but daylight was fading and the one doe was presenting a broadside shot at 170 yards, so I told her to squeeze it off. First kill for the 450 Bushmaster. Pretty impressive as the deer just crumbled at the shot. She didn't even realize that it fell as she saw the other deer running off. Turns out it was a button buck.

Awesome job young lady.... Kudos too pops for taking her out... Couldn’t agree more on the .450....

Granted this was a small deer, but I was impressed. It must have been angled towards us a little. Was back a little more than it should but the entry was in the rib cage so it caught one lung and the exit was in the guts. It literally didn't even flop. I saw it's one leg move a couple of times and that was it.

I relate the hydraulic shock is that of getting hit by a car....

Awesome, nothing better than youth spending time in the great outdoors and family and friends. Making memories one day at a time. Gratz to you both!
