Alldean and Florida Georgia Line Concert review

The Dayton area just got a new Radio Station 101.5 Hank FM. All they play is old country. Its about time.

I saw George Straight at the Nutter Center at WSU about 12 years ago. Was an awesome concert. Was listening to all the K-mart Cowboys complain because he stood at the mic and sang. They were saying how boring it was. I just shook my head and said he doesn't need to jump around and act a fool. Just listen to the words and enjoy the story.

Good to know about the radio station. I will see if I can pick them up. In regards to George Strait, that is how he was when I saw him in concert. Big hat. Dark blue Wranglers where you just about swore they were ironed/pressed. Might tap his toe or heel occasionally, but pretty much just stood there.

WHy would they outsell 20:1? Because wannabes spend the money on it. I played country music in my rusty 78 Chevy truck when country wasn't cool. Slapping a Browning sticker on your yuppie truck with the local "country" station playing isn't country.

Did anyone actually read the article I linked? It is quite comical but you guys are pretty well echoing it.

I read it, and that's why I don't listen to that crap music. I'm not even calling it country music, Idk Wtf it is but it ain't country.

gay.jpghank.jpgi do listen to some of the new stuff, but i dont like the rapping bullshit that the new guys do. give me some oldies, i listen to 90s country on slacker when i get the chance.

Admit it Cotty, when you read this you got half a wood and thought to yourself "that would be sweet"! rotflmao

This is not said lightly, but "Dirt" might be the single worst song to be a No. 1 hit in the history of country music, though we're about 5 years away from Axl Rose going country in a cash grab. Accept it, America: We're getting a pedal-steel version of "Patience" and the country audience is gonna eat it up.

Guys who like FGL wear bedazzled jeans and drive 2WD trucks.

.
That's the fuckin' funniest thing I've heard all month.

HO - LEE shit! I can't wait for 5 o'clock so I can listen to this! When I was at Strouds there was a good country station down there and I was wishing there was something like it in Dayton. SHIT YEAH! Thanks for that post.

Yes, sir!!!! Hell, like Zeppelin did with "Hot Dog", G N R dabbled in a little country sound once in awhile back in the day. "Used to Love Her" has that twangy sound as well as "you ain't the first" and their cover of the stones Honky Tonk sound in "Dead Flowers" (never on an album but done live) has the sound too.

I've always said some old hair band songs would sound good as today's modern "country".
Just imagine some of today's artists singing Patience, or Cinderella's Don't Know What You Got or Heartbreak Station.
Junkyard's Simple Man or Poison's Every Rose. I could go on and on. Lol
