Hell yea, Joe. I wish you would have gotten him but man that experience is enough to make your season all on its own. Best of luck getting after him during the remainder of the season! Hopefully he sticks around.
Those big bucks always amaze me with the nerve they have to bed in the places they do. They are always where you would least expect them!
Same here! They do some "strange" stuff sometimes!!!
My one on the wall is a ten point that I got during muzzloader season in 2000 and he was in the middle of a field in grass barely high enough for him too bed in and jumped him walking back too the truck and was shocked at the amount of people who'd walked past him (Snow on the ground and tracks all around him) he was holed up tight and never moved, I was just lucky too invade his comfort zone and made him nervous too the point of jumping up and running and stopping @ 50 yards too look around.... Never would of thought a buck would of hidden in such a small out in the open location.... But he could see everything coming his way and pick his escape route.... Unfortunetly for him he stopped and looked for his next move and that did him in....
They boggle your mind on where they come out of anymore and it's a lot like bunny hunting these deer sometimes....
