Am I the only one?? Have I lost it??

Alright, I will be Debbie Downer for you. I am not pumped. I was pumped 2 months ago. Since then, the work load has been so frigging terrible that I am hoping bow season slows down getting here. My gear is washed and stowed away. My bow is good to 30yds. Haven't had time to shoot it to feel confident past 30yds. Hank is ready to go track some deer. I just can't get caught up on work. Plus, the first week of the season I will be in southern Ohio. Maybe this is part of my lack of enthusiasm. I have scouted deer locally year round and I won't be hunting them until the second week of the season at the earliest. Realistically, if I am in southern Ohio for a week, the week I return is going to be so busy getting caught up on work I am not going to be able to hunt.

I am going to be the first to tell you this: I should be kicked square in the giblets by a big ol' mule! I have the opportunity to hunt terrain I have never hunted and I am so stressed and overworked, it is sucking the enthusiasm out of me. I should be trampled on by elephants. Something tells me once I get in the stand in southern Ohio, my attitude is going to do a 180!

I will be in the office Saturday and Sunday this weekend, I'm off Monday, so if the weather cooperates and it isn't real warm out, then I will be hitting the stand on Monday. Looking forward to some mobile updates for ya'll to make the work day go by a little faster.

My last text to the girl, half asleep and half drunk, last night was 'thanks for moving the target bag'

I'm practicing in my sleep!

OK, I am officially geeked. After getting all the gear ready, shooting the bow some more, and tieing up some loose ends, I am jacked! Ready for the stand on Saturday morning.

Beentown

Just talked to my oldest brother for 15 minutes about trail cameras, stands and deer. And he doesnt care the slightest bit, I'm just gettin so jacked that i had to talk about hunting. I'm probly gonna have a loss of sleep these next two nights too

I haven't had time to test my broadheads yet. I am ready to go on Saturday minus testing the flight of the Muzzys. Lord help me with the workload tomorrow. I have a ton to get done, (including the broadheads) and a 3hr drive tomorrow night in order to hunt Saturday morning. Looks like a late night Friday and early morning Saturday. ugh.

Your not the only one. This will be the first year since 1993 that I will have hunted from a.tree stand before hunting from a duck blind. Looks lime I may hit the woods on the 26th. It would be pretty nice to completely ventilate a fat doe.

I told my boss that I would hang another stand beside mine and put my laptop on it, WiFi from the Droid2, and pager on Vibrate, and work from the tree... he respectfully declined my offer... :smiley_depressive:
