Is there an area of the farm that is never hunted or intruded upon so that this buck or any other buck feels safe and will stick around?

Yeah, the farm is about 200 acres and is disected by a creek. On the other side of the creek, about 25 acres there are no stands and pretty thick cover. In all my years hunting there thats where most of the big bucks come out of.

Setting up downwind of the trail most "bucks" travel as they cross that creek to and from that thicket and another stand directly up wind of it so you can hunt it even if the wind blows in the opposite direction would be a killer set! Plus you can use the creek as a great way to enter and leave as well.

The buck they have to hunt looks like he's gonna be a good one TOO!

The 8 point outta velvet. He's been hanging around since summer. Def on the hit list.

Its starting to heat up, got pics of six different bucks hitting a mock scrape at my FIL's, all this week. The big 8 is still hanging around, just gotta hope he makes a mistake and I can close the deal.

Look who made it through the first gun season, the big 8 I have pics of all year! I sure hope he can make it through the season and the rest of winter. I think he could turn into an absolute stud, not that he isn't already but you know........:smiley_coolpeace:
