Every year at this event Tenpoint has a rep there that brings bows for the Vets to use if they choose. This year the rep couldn't make it b/c of health issues. Ever since the bad shot I've been thinking of buying a crossbow. I started texting back and forth with Xbow Rick about what I need to be looking for especially since Christmas sales were running. He found a great deal for me, Killer Instincts had a huge sale going on so I placed the order on Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving. All the while I had been trying to get a hold of the Tenpoint rep to see what kind of discounts he gives Veterans. Never heard back from him. Saturday afternoon I'm sitting at my folks house and the Tenpoint rep called me and told me that I had been chosen to receive a free crossbow. They give one away every year at this hunt but he couldn't make it this year and his replacement wasn't sure if he was supposed to give one away or not. At this point i canceled my order with Killer Instincts, saves me $220. So I had to call the guy who was in his place and set a meeting. Last Saturday I was finally able to go pick it up. Its a Tenpoint Turbo XLT II. The quiver doesn't fit the crossbow so I emailed Tenpoint and they are sending a replacement. I order some bolts, field points and some rail and string lube. Rick is sending me some broad heads, hell of a guy BTW. Ill get a picture up a little later. Thanks for all of the info and help Rick.
