Anyone hiring?

Sorry to hear the news Jesse. I was laid off from the FD in 2011 just after buying my farm. It ended up being a blessing in disguise, as I remodeled the whole farm house in 6 months while collecting unemployment and working part-time jobs. So my guess is you'll come out on top and someday be appreciate life's turns. Best wishes and I'll keep an eye out for postings.

Dang Jesse, don't know how I missed this! Sorry to hear about this bro.

I'm sure your going to make through just fine. Just remember sometimes before a door can open another needs to close first.

Well fellas, the hits just keep on coming. As of 3PM, I am officially unemployed for the first time since I joined the workforce. It is scary times in the patch and I was an easy fire for them to make based on the numbers. Merit and my worth had no influence, just came down to dollars and cents. And some politics...

I have 10 years industry experience in oil and gas, with a marketing degree and some sales experience. I know I'm a little isolated geographically from a lot of you, but I would appreciate any leads that someone might have.

What do you do in oil & gas? I'm a land man

I have 10 years experience in Land. Started by running title, leasing, handling division orders, and purchasing pipeline RW for our utility group. Last 5 years I've been in the Utica and Marcellus. I've bought 30 miles of transmission pipeline RW, settled a dozen pad site agreements, worked with engineering firms to design pads and roads, helped with permitting and construction. I was raised by a surveyor in the oil field, so I'm familiar with that and have ran survey grade GPS to set stationing for pipelines. I relate more to "operational land" than I do traditional or commercial land, but I can do just about anything in either area.

Friend of mine is starting a project over in New York, not sure of the area. If that's something you might be interested in, send me a private message and i'll get you his information. Another friend is working a Kinder Morgan project and I know they just put a few guys on, i'll see if he has anything.

I have an interview with Farmers Life tomororw at 10. Not sure I can think of anything I want to do less than sell insurance and retirement plans. But it will make good practice.

I also have a phone interview at 2PM with a company who acquires pipeline rights of way. That's my bread and butter. It's one of the two leads I was most confident in getting me back to work soon. It came via a personal contact who was very kind in his referral, so I'm off to a good start.
