Anyone planning on bow hunting now- till late gun?

I love hunting late season. Pour the corn to get an inventory and get after them. I like hunting in the snow and love being able to see the deer meandering through the woods. More often than not they're pretty easy to pattern in late season also.

I'm also a huge fan of late season. Especially this year! That's when The Gr8 8 starts to show himself in daylight hours... It'll be up to me to make it count!

I typically enjoy late season. Not sure about this year though, we have three in the freezer and don't need any more. My son is still looking for a buck though, so I will probably get out with him a couple times yet, and if should happen to get a chance at a doe, I'll find sombody to give it to.

Snow generally means I am working. I like to coyote hunt in the snow, but sometimes I am fortunate to deer hunt with a good snow cover also. If I weren't fortunate enough to fill my freezer already. . . I would be out.

I guess I should add: If Garrett (my 11yr old) wants to hunt, I will be out with him. Up to him to ask though. I don't want to pressure him.

I'll be hunting till I get at least 2 in the freezer. I buck hunted up till gun season never did get a shot at my target bucks. I didn't see any does during all my hunts only bucks.......strange usually its the other way around. I'm meat hunting now. Pretty excited to shoot a deer in the snow with a bow

I plan on taking next weekend off, then get right back at it. I would love to kill a late season buck. I'll probly sit on the edge of some thick green briars and hope for the best.

I like the one of pouring the corn out. I dumped 2 piles of corn for my niece last weekend and 40 damn turkeys moved in both days and cleaned both up to the last piece. I guess it will have to be raised gravity feeders here.

I typically could care less about whitetails by this time of year because I have ducks on the brain, but I have had a very enjoyable season hunting with my daughter and having some great encounters with a couple big ones out on my own. Seeing how it is looking like its going to be a shank duck season unless the weather drastically changes, I am preparing to run a couple corn piles and blind hunt. Layla wants to shoot a doe, I would like to shoot a buck or doe, and my dad loves late season bow hunting, so I am looking forward to the rest of the way. I put set #1 out today. It's located on the edge of thick cover in a swampy bottom. ILayla Layla and I are going to hunt it Sunday. I love brushing them in!

Do you use stuff to make the grass stick to your blind? I've tried brushing mine in with that stuff and eventually it falls off.

I use green briars. Stuff sticks to them much better. Stick some briars over the sticks and in the window mesh. Some comes off, but stays in place much longer and easy to patch up.
