AR .22 vs .22 Conversion

Got the itch for a AR platform 22 rifle but the 22 conversion option is interesting as well. My only concern with the conversion route is with accuracy. Looking for any input (+/-).

Just buy it as a 22. Conversions are for vans...

If you are wanting a plinker, I’d give the 10-22 a hard look. You can really customize them to whatever you want and I think it’s a more reliable platform.

My son has a Smith & Wesson ar 15-22 and that thing is amazingly accurate.

I've used a conversion. If your goal is to get trigger time on the rifle the conversion is a good option, accuracy is acceptable. Otherwise I'd prefer a dedicated .22.

Rimfire ammo is REALLY dirty.... so unless you love cleaning your centerfires... go dedicated, either 22cal AR or 10/22

I have the S&W AR .22 and as Clay stated, it is extremely accurate and also is a blast to shoot.
