What kind of AR was that before you lost it?
Talked to my son who does a gunshow almost every weekend and it looks like there are almost no low end priced AR's rifles or stripped lowers to be had. The higher priced AR's are still around but going up in price. Plus ammo sales and reloading supplies at drying up. Sorry to say but it seems another gun sales rush is on. Now that Obama stating in his last term he will work on gun control it's going to get rough.
"Niles" gun show today, lots available, many inner city women filling out background check papers at certain tables featuring Rock River etc.
I just went to the fin in Ashland and ARs and .223 ammo are flying off the shelves. They still have a bunch of the lower end stuff but who knows how long that will last.
Obama is the best thing that ever happened too the gun industry.... Take a look at their stock over the last 7 years....
Still plenty of AR'S around here. Prices are still drooping/holding steady. Sure we are selling alot but output has never been higher.

If you look at tax records, I wouldn't be surprised if he owns stocks in some of the gun manufacturers.
