Well SHIT!
<sigh><grumbling about just one more damned gun to think about and lust for and agonize about>

I have the same SS Bisley in 45LC-45ACP and it's a keeper. Going to send the Bisley and my 44 mag. SS Bisley Hunter pistols down for a action job and have the indexing pawl filed so the cylinder will turn both ways. With the cylinder turning both ways it's a lot easier to load if you miss a chamber.

Springfield Armory XD Mod. 2 in .45 ACP 9+1. It also comes with a 13 round magazine but that's the 9 round mag in the picture. Fiber optic front sight. 3.3" bbl. Striker fire.
I took it out yesterday and ran 100 rounds though it. The gun preformed flawlessly and was surprisingly accurate for a sub compact with a 3.3 inch barrel. I shot at 7 - 15 yards mostly. The recoil is very manageable, maybe a little snappy at first, but I'm used to shooting a 9 mm most of the time and my other .45ACP is a 1911 so it's kind of unfair to compare. Let me just say, I was pleasantly surprised at how well that recoil spring does it's job. The red fiber optic front sight makes framing a sight picture and then getting back on it when shooting much easier in my opinion. All in all it's a great shooting, very concealable, high capacity .45. I absolutely love it. The only real con, and I can't say it's much of a con because it doesn't affect anything for me other than feel is the fact that I've got kind of big hands so with the 9 round mag, my pinky finger is kind of floating under the magazine. Fortunately, Pearce makes a grip extender for that magazine. Mine will be here in a few days. Problem solved. I don't like the fact that they decided to print Grip Zone all over the side of the thing like a friggin billboard either but I put Talons on everything anyway so in a few days, that'll be a non issue TOO.

I have been wanting to do a build like this for a long time and am so happy to finally get it completed and am ready to head to the range. I really think it will be a tack driver and am ready to drop the hammer on some tree rats this fall.

You need another barrel for that 10/22 - one with a silencer - THAT would be cool!

(then nobody would hear you miss)

(Jesse made me do it)
