Picked up a Budapest M95 carbine, 1917 Austrian approval stamp.

After conservation. All original finishes were reserved. The rear sight slider is missing and the magazine follower leaf spring came broken. I can't find either part, but there are no plans to fire it. This is by far the dirtiest and most rusty gun I've worked on.

Well I bought a new toy. Patience and faith paid off. Almost was going to bite my tongue and just buy one but had some help with Dave and my stepbrother on some tips about the 350 or 450.

Gun show was at the fairground last weekend. Went to see what they had. They had one of ruger bushmaster 350 for $579. They also had only two 450. For the 450 one of them they wanted for $600 and other for $580. So Dave and stepbrother said to bail. I went ti the atm to get another hundred out. I went back to look at 450 ruger bushmaster gen 2 that was asking for $580. I said to the guy I said hey straight I want to walk out with this gun here’s $550 cash. He said no! So I left. I was so bummed out. So, a week later almost went to Vance Outdoors to look into 450 for $569. Had a feeling that God said no just wait, be patient. I’m like, ok. So went to archery range to shoot my crossbow to make sure it’s dialed in. I had to adjust some and bullseye. Good to go. So I needed to stop at rural king for paper towel and to walk with my dog. I walked by where they sell guns and immediately my eyes laid on that ruger 450. So I went up to check it out….well I’ll be damned it’s on sale for $529. Boom sold. Happy as a kid like opening up Christmas present. Also bought vortex scope and correct scope rings. Hella deal too I couldn’t pass that up either.
