Asphalt Sealing

My church's 17,000 ft sq parking lot needs sealed and I got a couple bids. They're close, $250 apart. The lower bid will brush it on, the higher bid spays it on. Brush guy says his method is better, of course spray guy says his is better. I have gravel so this is something I know nothing about. Are the final results of either method different in any way? TIA

The only reason to seal asphalt is if the slope of the asphalt is too flat for proper drainage of water off of the asphalt. 2.00% slope is what we design for to prevent bird bathing of water on the asphalt.

In my experience, brushing usually lasts longer than spraying. The spray coat guys always seem to use the bare minimum… just enough to get full coverage and nothing more. I also suggest you get two coats. Not just one.
