Post em up shed hunters!

I just wanted to start a thread dedicated to our shed hunting fanatics here to post up their best or most favorite ATL shed pics. I personally haven’t really walked much yet this year thus I’m still looking to find my first shed of the year. I probably walked about 1.5 hours so far and walked less than 2 miles or so. Anywho, when you find one and are able to capture a neat ATL photo of it BEFORE touching it feel free to posting up your photos along with the date and any other info you care to share as too how fresh it is,what type of location(trail, bedding, fence crossing, food plot/type of field,etc...)

Good luck out there!

Here’s a set I found a few years ago I’ll share to get the ball rolling. They were found on a trail coming off the top shelf near a point at the end of a picked beanfield. They weren’t down long but the rodents got to them some.

Here’s one of my favorite ATL pics of a beautiful shed I found about 2-3 years ago along the rim of a ridge beyond a stand of pines. I believe it was near a spot where he bedded with a great vantage point and it was very fresh and had no chew marks.:pickle:

Nice pics Ric. You know normal guys have other thoughts for what is a good looking "ATL" pic. High Hefner's favorite ATL pics were much different. Lol

No kidding Phil! I highly doubt anything posted here will be spank bank worthy but I get what you mean. Let’s think of this thread as Horn Porn(yes I know they’re antlers but nothing really rhymes with antlers) and containing photos of cool looking photos of untouched sheds as they were first discovered.

I just wanted to give two examples. If people want to post photos of older finds like my examples that’s fine TOO but please give some indication as to the year/date or county or part of the state. I think it would be beneficial for everyone to know when most hunters are starting to notice bucks shedding in their part of the state and what type of area they are finding the majority of their sheds in. In the future TOOzers can go back to this thread and use the info to help them determine when and where to concentrate their efforts. Just thought it would be fun yet informative.:pickle:

I know Ric. I love seeing the pics too! Guess we are both weird. Haha

Made it thru first of 3 trail camera cards. Still bucks holding antlers as of yesterday. One young buck with possibly one side missing. Could have been half racked all year. Never seen it before.

Crap, I have only found a couple sheds in my life and truth be known I wasn't even shed hunting when I have found them.

Thanks Isaac!

Not the best ATL pic due to I didn’t lay down on the soaked ground to really get a close up photo but here’s what it looked like as I approached it.

Hate to see that but it happens. The WO in our county is very nice and responsive to my calls. Told me if there are just bones and not a relatively freshly killed carcass to take several pics and remove the head and call him and he’ll meet up with me to give me a salvage tag. I’ll just notify him after I’m done shed hunting and meet with him and show him all photos of all my DH finds and the heads then he’ll give me the permits. If I do find a fresh kill I will notify him ASAP no matter if it’s a doe or buck so he can investigate it especially after season is over.

Pretty wet out and this waterway was flowing pretty good. I slopped around the fields today but got some good cardio in because of it.
