B3 Air Rifles

Anybody have one? They're cheap Chicom spring rifles. My dad gave me this one that was given to him by a neighbor. It's from the 80s. I'm going to make it pretty and replace some of the seals.

J, they do have repair and maintenance kits available. They actually still produce this gun.
The stock is made out of cheap pallette grade wood with lots of wood filler. That's why they used that awful heavy orange stain.

The spring is always under tension. You can't remove it safely without putting pressure on the base of it to remove the pin that holds it. Once the pin is removed, you can start release the spring by lowering the jack.

No, but it's not a part that needs to be replaced.

It's pretty fun to learn the history and then the dissection.

The restoration is complete. I think it turned out pretty nice. I even made a custom grip for the under lever. The front and rear sights are gone and I added a 4x32 scope that I had on hand. Most metal is reblued.
