Back splash for the wifes kitchen

Looks good buddy! If I was going to change anything, I'd just paint the walls. Leave them cabinets alone. We did that once and wish I'd gotten the advice Jamie gave...because it looked like total shit in a short amount of time.

Hmm. Something to think about. We've already talked about painting, but it's a weird layout. There's no break up between any of the walls. It's been suggested to book end the walls. Hard to explain without pictures.

I think a tan/light brown would look good on the wall.

Wasn't thinking white, I'm thinking a darker Brown, something to match the darker Brown of the tile. Thoughts?

while the ill effect of painting oak would be less noticeable with a dark paint color, you will still see the texture of the wood grain through the paint, which may not be bothersome to your eye, but it does not appeal to me on interior trim that deserves a fine finish.

Finished up Saturday, put the new covers on and here it is. The wife is happy!!!

That looks great Dustin! Those cabinets look fine to me. Seeing better pics has me wondering why you would want to change them?

I'm glad my wife doesn't get on here she's been on me about doing a back splash I have no interest in it. Not to mention I have like 5 projects I've started and have not finished yet. Mostly trim work in our room and my daughter's room I have no motivation to finish it right now.

Thanks guys.

Phil I dunno why, maybe it's seeing it in person. We've talked about adding pulls to them. Still trying to decide. I'm thinking the back splash will help away the decision.
