Yes, my hair grows thick. Letting it sit for 5 mins along with cold beer in hand.

When my starts to look unruly, I trim it up. I'm not going for beard length. Just my seasonal thing. Goatee area grows fastest. Sides not as much. I leave them a tad longer (although trimmed as needed). No beard oils, waxes, spa treatments, bikini waxing. . . .I find if I don't shower for a few days you can stroke it and it stays in place really well. I consider it the Joe Dirt treatment. (I'm kidding.)

So why doesn’t your normal hair on your head dry out. Y’all bitches use the snake oil on your head also? I’ve never heard of all this, could be that my job don’t allow a beard and can only grow one for 1.5 months if my vacation runs concurrently. Y’all are bringing beards to a new level. As for now I will pass, I ain’t trying to be a pretty dude. Like it or not makes no difference to me.

It does. I use a special dandruff shampoo on what hair I have left.

I don't care about being pretty. I care about my face not itching. If my asshole itches, I clean it. If my beard itches, I oil it.

I see it as an extension of taking the time to use a shaving soap or cream with a brush, and a double edged safety razor or straight razor.

You can do it the fast way with goo in a can and the latest $15/head gizmo razor or take your time, reach back in history and pamper yourself a little.

What do you fellas use to clean all that stuff out? When mine was longer I’d use whatever I used in my hair to wash it. Since the hair is different, and y’all have done the research...does it take a different shampoo? I’m asking about daily use.

If it wasn't already obvious, I have sensitive skin on my face. I no longer use soap of any kind. I shower nightly before bed and good hot water and wash rag to scrub my face. Same in the AM before work. I stopped getting as many zits, ingrown hairs and itchy spots after I stopped using soaps. Only thing I do is the conditioner a couple times a week.

Although they make “products “ , I just use the same mild every day shampoo I use on my head.
That’s no big deal. It’s the stuff you use afterwards, be it oil or butter that makes the difference.
And like any personal product you may end up trying a few before you find the right one.
