Completely stupid. From what I understand this wouldn't apply if they made them in the USA. And they can still sell them in a 5+1 and still sell the mag extensions. Just more beaurocratic BS.

Correct. Import long guns have to have a sporting purpose. Handguns have a point system. For example the glock 26, 27 has a serrated trigger blade and is imported with adjustable sights(which are later removed and sent back to Austria). That model loses points due to the subcompact size but the "target" trigger and sights are enough of a point offset to allow import. The .380 glocks have to be made here because they lose too many points being a blow back action. Locked breech is a "target" feature. Its incredibly beuacratic.
I swear I read something about not being infringed..... oh yeah it was printed on the TP in the capital building according to some of the people that went on the behind the scenes tour on Jan 6th.....
