Best and worst....

Switch it up a bi as I am listening to heartbreak station by Cinderella... :)

Since this is a hunting forum, we'll go with the best and worst "hunting shows"
And or videos....

Best video- Whitetails Eye To Eye (close second is Barry and Gene Wensels Bowhunting October Whitetails)

Worst Video-don't even know the name of it, whitetail encounters I think??? Bought it at Keim Lumber at the deer expo.... WOW

Haha! Pig nose!!? I'm gonna have to look them up now!

I do like the drury brothers, pretty informative and fun to watch. They do a great job on the management aspect, for all deer not just trophy bucks.

Can't think of the name of the show but the guy was hunting at an "outfitter" in Ohio, he couldn't kill one with his bow so he called the guy on the phone, he rides down on the Ranger, hand him a rifle and as he is drinking coffee a 170" buck magically appears and he shoots it. Then proceeds to give advice on killing big deer! Lol

Gone Huntin Safari, ha to ask my brother what the name was cause he DVR'd it to show me.

Oh yea, Cinderella, some of the best right there.
Im a big fan of Jay Gregory "Wild Outdoors" , its about the only one I care for.

Never seen it. Must not be on the channels I get. Tammi Gregory looks like hell though in some of the ads I have seen with them. Looks like she has been around the block too many times and is a washed up heroin addict. Look at her eyes in the Rage commercials. She looks rough. Maybe I have only seen a few pictures of her and she isn't so bad, but the same couple pictures of her always pop up and they look rough.

Worst- Too many to choose. Probably a toss up between "Hollywood Hunter", "Where in the World is Colorado Buck", and "Jimmy Big time". I think Excaliber's Hunting the Backwoods sucks as well as the gooftards from the south which sell crossbows. Big Bill and the gang. Is that Wildgame Nation?

Not sure I have a favorite but there are several I enjoy.
Knowledge and entertainment- Midwest Outdoors, Major League Bowhunter, Drury Bros.

North American Whitetail is "okay", and Bowhunter TV is decent as well.

I enjoy all the predator hunting shows simply because they mix it up a bit for me. There are only a few out there, so they provide a nice change of pace from the whitetail shows. Not sure I have picked up much from them though. Never seem to give any tips outside of "buy this. . . " They are all so similar and most of what you see is calling and shooting. Not much info on setups, why they setup where they are or anything you can learn from as a hunter.

Instead of starting another thread I was wondering what your guys opinion is on something I've been thinking about lately. Was Van Halen better with David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar? I liked both really well but Sammy gets he nod for me. What's your thoughts if you give a shit? Rotflmao

I'm in favor of Sammy cuz of his success before VH and with the band. DLR prolly thought VH couldn't survive without him and he had a less than average career after the split. They were awesome with him but he didn't do much afterwards by himself other than a couple good songs.

Studio versions? I think classic VH is better with DLR. However, Van Hagar had some good tunes too.

Live? I've never seen either version so i can't say there. I'd say vintage DLR over Hagar though. DLR is a good lead man... flambouyant, entertaining, perverted, etc...

David Lee Roth gets my vote.

I actually liked some of Hagar's solo stuff better than I did VH. Both rocked, but I like the older VH stuff myself.

I guess I should have read the bottom posts before posting haha.

Sammy Hagar by far. Better solo. Better voice then. Better voice now. If you haven't checked out Chickenfoot, please do so!

Sammys album Standing Hampton is one of my all time favorites. DLR was a great fit for VH and they were awesome back then but when Sammy came on board they hit the tour a running and never slowed down.

It wasn't Van Halen after Roth left. I had their first album with Hagar but I gotta go with Roth, his vocals just meshed well with the music. And nobody can do whatever the hell he did in the jump video and make it look so damn cool!! Haha!

I saw VH on their Monsters of Rock tour up in the Rubber Bowl in Akron with the Scorps,Dokken, Metalica,Megadeath and it was awesome. Sammy ran across the stage at the intro with a huge banner saying "David sucks". Crowd was going nuts and it ended up being a great show.

Ditto for me... I like some of the Hagar songs, but the band changed and seemed to get more commercialized after DLR was gone.

Hunting shows I like: Meateater with Steve Rinella, Drury Brothers, I still like Micheal Waddell's bone collecter

Hate: MacMillan River adventures has gotta be the worst, Buckmasters, Most of the realtree guys

Watched Wildgame, I think it was, the other night. They had a quick cameo from Jason Aldean on it. Anyway, it was God awful. Two guys on there couldn't even speak correctly. It was all based in Louisiana (sorry Joe). The main guy is a bigger dude with black hair and black Magnum PI stache.

I was embarrassed to be a hunter after watching that show.
