Best and worst....

I am a huge g-n-r fan and consider them in their own category. Appetite was and is still one of the best albums of my generation! First CD I ordered from Columbia house, I filled the card out in study hall in 8th grade!

Metal bands are one thing, rock bands are another....

I know it was early 90's but I gotta give them some respect....Trixter! The girls just couldn't get enough of it, one in a million comes on and almost guaranteed to make memories! Haha!

Dude....Winger.... My brother played that album soooo much! Everyday before school in the booger colored Chrysler Cordoba!

And thanks to whoever mentioned them because I can't get Here I Go Again out of my head now! Uuuuuugh!

And too make it worse, thats Whitesnake.....Holy Hell!!

Lmao!!! Hahahahaha!!!

I know they may be heavy, but what about ozzy, motorhead and anthrax? Man I used to jam to some great white and quiet riot.. lol...

I wanted to mention Def Leppard, but I wasn't sure if they were 90's or in the 80/90s. I think they were good early on, but then I was a little overdone with them by the early 90s.

How about some of the crazy 80's alternative stuff? Surely someone has heard of The Dead Milkmen?

Slaughter would be another group in my top half.

Faster Pussycat had a decent song, "House of Pain" didn't they?

As far as a worst category, worst song had to be Jackal's song with the chainsaw.

I couldn't possibly pick a favorite. I was hooked on a lot of bands including most that are already listed. One band I loved that hasn't been brought up is April Wine. Some of their early stuff was bad ass.

Now there is a band I totally forgot about! My opinion is my generation came up with the last great music era, media labeled it as Grunge but it was just kick ass music....and the evolution of metal. Will never forget the first time I heard Pantera! They are another band that deserves their own category cause nobody could match what they did!

This is kind of how the conversations go with my buddies, there is always someone who jumps out or mentions a band you forget about.... Just like someone said, it is almost impossible to pick a favorite or best band. Good stuff

Best- AC/DC, Guns & Roses, Metallica, Motley Crue, Kiss

Worst- Twisted Sister, Poison, Cinderella, Winger

Yep for that Genre anyway.

Some other "Tops"- Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Phil Collins/Genesis, Aerosmith, Tone Loc

Crappy - Culture Club, U2, INXS, Cyndi Lauper, and one I am probably alone on........Bon Jovi.
