Best Concert............

Metallica under the stars at Buckeye Lake Music Center, 1992, I think. not sure how I survived it. helluva show. :beavis: I saw Metallica a few times at other places, but nothing comes close to that show.

I was there! Rates as the best show I vaguely remember too!!!

Been to so many concerts I can't even remember. From small venue to large outdoor stadium.

As far as overall best sound and quality of show in my opinion is by far TOOL!!! Those fuckers just plain tear a stage up.

Some of the other notable shows would be 311, everclear, Black Sabbath, Steve Miller Band.

I got the living shit beat out of me. front and center IN THE PIT baby!!! that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, but hot damn it was a blast! Was it Metal Church or Danzig that opened for them? too stoned and drunk to remember all of it.

Me and the wife saw the Eagles farewell tour. Of all the concerts I've been TOO that would have to be my favorite one.

Nugent was ok ,Thin Lizzy and Nazereth were good at the ohio state fairgrounds, Journey,Foreigner were good, Buck Cherry, 3 Days Grace and Nickleback also good.
Still cant beat AC DC,saw them on the 70s 80s 90s 2000s
They are coming to columbus in March but honestly i dont think any of the groups mentioned in this thread are worth 200 or 300 bucks a ticket.
Hell i remember getting tickets for less than 20 bucks in the past.
Lots of good memories though.

Little Rock, saw Ozzy right after the bat biting incident lol.... He said any of you mofo's throw a bat on stage I'm kicking your ass!!!! lmao....

Metal church. I may well have flogged you a time or two! I was within feet of the stage too! There was a chic that stabbed my buddy a couple of times with a needle or something. In all that mess I heard him say, "bitch, I told you to quit stabbing me"! About then, he turned loose and punched her right in the beak! Haha. She's probably an old grandma now, but she has a good story to tell. The dude with her did nothing for her... I accidentally called a female state trooper some inappropriate names as we headed back to our cars after the show. She was very nice once I realized my mistake. I'll always remember how the troopers paid NO attention to the thousands of small offenses they witnessed at that venue.

Living in ft loramie and growing up a few miles from Country Concert at hickory hills ill have to give them a nod for a few dun weekends. Started going when i was 16 and had a blast almost every year ive gone... ive seen a lot of big names out there(Neil Mccoy, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams Jr...) but the best concert i have been Too is hands down Grath Brooks. I went there with my brother and sister in law and a couple of friends. Even tho we may have had possibly the absolute worst seats possible is was amazing. Everything from the songs to the energy of the arena to the showmanship that Garth showed was top notch. I would definitely go back to see him.
A close second tho would have to be Randy Houser. I went to a bar in North Carolina while visiting a buddy in the Marines and he went there that night. He didnt go to sing but to just be there. Turned out that a lot of people knew him and someone gave him a guitar and he started playing. It was sweet being within a couple of feet from him and actually hearing HIM sing... not the autotune bs.

I think it was Danzig on that tour. Saw them at Blossom when I was in my freshman year at Akron.

My bad, saw Brock posted it wa Metal Church. Danzig opened when I saw them but it may have been 93?

Saw the Monsters of Rock tour in mid 80's featuring Van Halen,Scorpions,Dokken,Metalica,Megadeath. We drove up to Akron and saw them in the Rubber Bowl.

Saw some sweet country shows too at Legend Valley back in the day as well! Waylon,Willie and Bosepheus as well as Alabama!

Also saw Reba,AJ,Garth,Brooks and Dunn and Clint Black back when country was still country somewhat! Loved all those headliners very much.

Prolly seeing Waylon,Willie and Hank JR was my most favorite! We spent the night up there the eve of the show....crazy go time!

Can't tell you how many times I was at Buckeye Lake Music Center (AKA Legend Valley) I live 4.2 miles up the street. And my buddy owns it now. Some Great Shows have landed there!
Also happen to know quite a few Coyotes die inside that fence every year. Couple booners have died inside there as well.

Damn Steve I'm jealous! Tool would be an awesome show to watch I bet.

I watched Shinedown open for 3 Doors Down before they went big... They absolutely stole the show. The lead singer's vocals were amazing live.

Saw Eric Church a few years ago in Youngstown at the Cavelli Center. It was a great show too. Of course that was two albums ago. His latest two are total shit in my opinion. I can't stand his new music.

My favorite concert though was last year when I took my wife to Boston for a wedding anniversary trip. We saw Garth Brooks and he was fuckin awesome. He came on at 11 pm and played for over three hours, including three separate encores. The entire trip was great, really. I typically get sick to my stomach when I'm anywhere near a large city, but actually Boston was really nice. Great place to visit.
