Big Pennsylvania Bear..

This bear was hit recently by a truck in Potter County Pa... What a shame... Would have made alot of sausage and stew..

Shame, bear that size are far and few between, hell Maine doesn't see em that big very often.

Actually I'll bet Penna. and Jersey produce over 20 bears over 600 lbs each year...

Those are impressive numbers, My grand dad hunted bear his whole life in maine his biggest was 575 and that happened when he was 87 years old, i cant tell you how many hours this man spent in those northern woods, again it takes many years and hours to put a 600 pound plus black bear down.

It's amazing how big our bears are... Every year I chase at least one bear over 600 lbs.. Here's one I was after last year...

I saw this on Facebook...it is the same area that the camp I used to own is at...my friend still has a camp there. I see at least one bear every time I go there...sometimes as many as five or six. Plenty of them in Potter and Tioga counties.

Yup... Those counties are bear central in PA.. Always included in the top producing counties...

Them are fricken giants, trophy class black bear by all standards, some damn good genes in that area.
