Came across this guy today while checking out a pond that I used to fish years ago....

As I was walking around him to get pics, he would turn around to face me. You can see the tracks in the sand around his body from him spinning in circles.

They r good but I have a hard time killing an animal that's been on earth longer than me for some reason. Softy!

I get that but.... do you have a problem killing an 8-9 year old buck? We kill old fish all the time, alligators and what not. The life span of each animals varies accordingly and I understand what your saying. We catch loggerheads and we also let some go. They can be up to almost 200 years old. We cut trees that are older than us also.

Just something to ponder. I’m about take what you need and not what you could possible keep because of a limit.

I do hate seeing big old trees drop. I agree with u 100 percent. If I lived somewhere with endless water I'd kill them.

I think one of the big differences is back home down there snappers are a dime a dozen. Here in Ohio they're more rare and have a harder go at it. Not a lot of natural bodies of water like swamps that are perfect breeding grounds for them.
